Pre-school
If you feel that you child is not using many words and finding it challenging to get their message across then it may be useful to get some more advice. I offer a play-based assessment to look at your child's language skills. Here are some useful links.
Your child may be using lots of words but you are not sure how clear these words should be, below is a link that explains that sounds develop over time. Most children can be understood nearly all of the time as they reach 3 years of age.

Primary School

For example, you may notice that they find it harder to follow conversations or express what they want to say clearly.
